First Time? We'll Take It Slow and Easy - A Users Guide. PDF Print E-mail
Written by Apollo Gibson

If this is your first time to the site, Welcome!  If you have been here before and you have no clue to what to do, this is the right place to be.  The following guide will show you how to achieve ultimate online satisfaction through this site.  The first thing you should do is print these instructions so that you can freely explore without coming back to this page.  Click on the print icon in the top right corner of the article.  You can also email a copy of the instruction to yourself or someone else by clicking on the email icon or click on the pdf icon to download a pdf file.

We need some music.  Click on the radioClash link in the "Main Feature" menu.  You can play the radio directly from the page by clicking on the play button, or better yet, click on the link below the player "Listen while you browse.  Click to open radio in new page." This way you can explore the site all the while listening to cool tunes from the 80s.   Turn up your speakers and Play.  (You may need to disable pop-up blockers.)

Login to the left if you have registered (Alumni Login).  If you haven't registered...Register Now.  Why register?  Registered members will be listed in the "Alumni Directory", get their very own profile page with photo gallery, get to view other profile pages, submit blog entries, and participate in other cool special features that may come about in the future.  It's also FREE.

Now that you are registered and logged-in, let's view classmate profiles.  Click on the "Alumni Directory" link in the "Main Features" menu.  You will see a list of alum who have registered.  You will see your name there also.  Go ahead and click on Apollo's Profile.  It's a good example on what you can do in the profile pages.  The profile page consists of a profile image, navigation buttons, and profile tabs.  Go ahead and explore.  You'll get the hang of it.  To view someone else's profile, click on the Directory button on the profile page or the directory link as described above.

Customize your Profile.  Since you have just registered, you have the default silohuette for your profile image and just basic information.  Time to spice things up a bit.  Go to your profile page by clicking on the "View Your Page" link in the Alumni Feature menu, on your name from the "Alumni Directory", or from the "View" button on the profile pages.

Profile Image.  Your profile page will have a new button called "Edit" next to the "Directory" button under the profile image.  Click on Edit>Update Your Image.  You can choose from the generic images or upload your own image (recommended).  Click on Browse to find the image on your computer and then click Upload.  Caution: the image does have a size restriction, so make sure the photo is not too big (500x480 - 100 KB max).  If you are unsure, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  the photo, and I'll resize for you.

Profile Info.  Click on Edit>Update Profile.  You will see three tabs that represent information found in your profile tabs for viewers to see. It is pretty self-explanatory. Complete the information you feel comfortable completing.  If you need to change your password or username, you can do that in the "Contact Info" tab.  The "Photo" tab relates to your personal photo gallery.  The default is usually good for most people.  Our privacy policy is quite simple.  We will not sell your information to a third party, nor will we knowingly distribute or use the information for other purposes outside the scope of this website or reunion committee events.  All in all, you decide what information you want seen.  Currently the profile pages are set to Public View so that folks visiting the site can view the profiles without registering and logging in - just to get a feel for things.  Eventually, the profiles will be set to Registered Views so that only registered members can view them.

Upload photos to your own photo gallery.  Click on the Photo tab on your profile page.  Click on "Submit New Gallery Entry". Browse for file on your computer and upload.  Again there is a size restriction.  If the item is too big, you will get an error. (640 px on the longest side; 100KB max.)  Your profile is now all set.  Now let's explore the site.
